MISSION STATEMENT

Garden City Friends of Music and the Arts (GCFOMA) supports, promotes, and enhances the visual and performing arts for all students within the Garden City School District by providing financial assistance through grants, volunteer services, and community engagement opportunities.

ABOUT US

Garden City Friends of Music and the Arts (GCFOMA) is a dedicated group of parents that work with the students, faculty and administration to enhance the visual and performing arts in the Garden City School District.  GCFOMA originally began in 2003 as Garden City Friends of Music. From 2003 - 2025, the organization has raised funds to provide new instruments, new choir robes, new lighting for Stratford and Stewart schools, new wireless headsets for middle school directors, guest conductor workshops, grants to help pay for HS chorus and orchestra trips, annual achievement awards and annual senior scholarship.  We recognized the need to support all of the arts so we expanded the organization in January 2026.
